The banquet was left unattended. Briefly.
Still Life with Consequences is an opulent feline mystery inspired by the lavish banquet paintings of the Dutch Golden Age.
At first glance, the scene appears to be a magnificent Old Master still life—a table overflowing with fruit, seafood, fine silver, delicate glassware, and all the indulgence of a grand feast.
Then you begin to notice that something is... off.
The fish has been sampled. The tableware has been disturbed. A vessel has fallen. And if you look carefully enough, you may discover evidence that the responsible party has not gone very far.
Rich with dramatic chiaroscuro, sumptuous detail, and subtle visual storytelling, this artwork rewards a closer look. The cat itself remains largely unseen. Instead, its presence is revealed through the aftermath of a brief but apparently productive visit to the banquet table.
Beautiful enough to be mistaken for a serious classical still life.
Suspicious enough to suggest otherwise.
Printed on canvas to bring the depth, texture, and dark Old World atmosphere of the artwork into your home.
Available in multiple sizes.
*No formal charges have been filed. Mr. Fuzzywhiskers has declined to comment.
